Section 182.7 - Identity Proofing

(a) Identity proofing must meet, at minimum, the Identity Assurance Level 2 standard as outlined in the Digital Identity Guidelines of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, as referenced in subdivision (b) of this section, or any industry accepted standard that is at least as secure, or more secure, than that standard.

(b) Incorporation by reference. The Identity Assurance Level 2 standard, as outlined in the Digital Identity Guidelines of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, United States Department of Commerce, document SP 800-63-3, Revision 3, dated June 2017 and includes updates as of 03-02-2020, is hereby incorporated by reference.
