Section 456.2 - Information and resource referral system (IRRS)

(a) Each local social services department shall assign personnel with appropriate qualifications and in sufficient numbers to implement, operate and monitor the information and referral services.

(b) Each local social services department shall install and maintain a compendium of local community resources, updated annually, to facilitate the use of information and referral activities in the manner prescribed by the State Department of Social Services.

(c) To insure that services are received, each local social services department shall make follow-up efforts, where appropriate, with the individual or family, or with the community agency or facility.
