The social services district shall make provision for bonding all agents and employees of the district who must be bonded to meet Federal requirements. A social services district may also obtain such additional fiduciary bonding and bonding against theft as it determines necessary in amounts and costs that are reasonable and prudent. All losses in excess of the amount bonded against by the local district will not be reimbursed. A copy of any bond obtained must be submitted to the department for cost review.
