Section 106.1 - Introduction

Vehicle and Traffic Law section 401 provides for the registration of most vehicles. Subdivision six provides for the passenger categories and subdivision seven provides for the commercial categories. Subdivision seven covers "...buses, ...motor vehicles constructed or specially equipped for the transportation of goods, wares and merchandise, commonly known as auto trucks or light delivery cars,...taxicabs, livery and... certain other motor vehicles..." Subdivision six covers the registration of most other vehicles.
