Section 60.5 - Odometers with numbered wheels

Odometers which use numbered wheels to display miles or kilometers traveled must not permit alteration by manipulation with picks, screwdrivers or other tools, except in the following circumstances:

(a) after the odometer is removed from the instrument panel; or

(b) after visually apparent altering of the odometer reading or breakage of the structure surrounding the odometer assembly.
