Section 30.5 - Addition and deletion of vehicles from fleet
(a) Vehicles may be added to the fleet at any issuing office. The registrant will receive a permanent fleet registration document and sticker and plates, if needed, for the added vehicle or vehicles.
(b) If a vehicle is deleted from the fleet registration and the plates are not to be transferred to another fleet vehicle in the same account, then the plates must be surrendered at the issuing office or central point established by the Department of Motor Vehicles. However, the registrant must maintain a list of vehicles from which plates were surrendered for audit purposes. Plates cannot be transferred to a nonfleet vehicle.
