Section 328.1 - Definitions

(a) Chairman refers to the chairman of the Workers' Compensation Board of the State of New York.

(b) Medical society refers to the appropriate county medical society, unless the claimant's physician is an osteopath, in which case medical society refers to either the appropriate county medical society or the New York State Osteopathic Society, Inc.

(c) Carrier refers to the employer or his insurer.

(d) Rating board refers to the New York Compensation Insurance Rating Board.
