Whenever in this Part reference is made to a county medical society, it shall, in the case of a licensed physician of any other school of medical practice, be construed to mean the board representing such other school of medical practice. In the case of a physician who is licensed as an osteopath, the "board" may be either the appropriate county medical society or the New York State Osteopathic Society, Inc.
