Section 61-1.37 - Complaints

Information concerning noncompliance with a requirement of this Subpart may be brought forward by any person. Copies of the complaint shall be delivered to the institution concerned and to the commissioner. The institution shall cause the complaint to be investigated and report the results of its investigation and any action thereon promptly to the commissioner. Such further action as the commissioner shall deem appropriate shall be taken by the institution or the commissioner or both, including enforcement action authorized under section 3223 of the Public Health Law and withdrawal of approval of the institutional biosafety committee.
