Section 5-1.77 - State notification(a) The supplier of water shall make State notification within 24 hours of learning of the existence or potential existence of a public health hazard, or within 48 hours for any other violation or situation that may pose a risk to public health. Section 5-1.52 table 13 of this Subpart lists violations and situations that require State notification.(b) The information provided in a State notification shall include, but not be limited to, the following: (1) a description of the violation or situation, including the contaminant of concern, and (as applicable) the contaminant level;(2) when the violation or situation occurred;(3) what the system is doing to correct the violation or situation; and(4) when the water system expects to return to compliance.(c) Groundwater systems and groundwater sources that complete corrective action to correct significant deficiencies or address fecal contamination of a groundwater source must notify the State within 30 days of the completion of the action.N.Y.
