When the petitioner resides in a county in New Mexico other than the county in which the petition for adoption is filed, or in a state other than New Mexico, or if the adoptee will be absent from the county in which the petition for adoption is pending for more than fifteen days, a court order must be obtained recognizing such out of state residence and/or permitting absence from the county in which the petition for adoption is filed.C.
