The museum of New Mexico shall be accredited by the American association of museums as a single institution. The museum, through all its bureaus, supports the programs of the AAM and will seek to constantly improve its professional practices, to implement recommendations and to correct deficiencies outlined in the accreditation reports. Professional standards set by the museum community at large will be considered for implementation by the museum of New Mexico through its executive staff and the board of regents.
