Owners and operators shall operate, maintain and repair venting systems in accordance with the current edition of an industry standard or code of practice developed by a nationally recognized association or independent testing laboratory approved in advance by the department. At least monthly, owners and operators shall check emergency vents to ensure they are operational. The following shall be used to comply with this requirement: National Fire Protection AssociationStandard 91, "Standard for Exhaust Systems for Air Conveying of Vapors, Gases, Mists, and Particulate Solids".
