Section 19.15.30.8 - PREVENTION AND ABATEMENT OF WATER POLLUTIONA. If the background concentration of a water contaminant exceeds the standard or requirement of Subsections A, B or C of 19.15.30.9 NMAC, the responsible person shall abate the pollution to the background concentration.B. The standards and requirements set forth in of Subsections A, B or C of 19.15.30.9 NMAC are not intended as maximum ranges and concentrations for use, and nothing contained in 19.15.30.9 NMAC limits the use of waters containing higher ranges and concentrations.N.M.
