Section 8:97-1.1 - Purpose and scope

(a) The purpose of this chapter is to establish nursing home financial reporting requirements and to require nursing homes to participate in the National Health Care Safety Network (NHSN) reporting standards in accordance with N.J.S.A. 26:2H-1 et seq., specifically 26:2H-46.1 through 46.4.

(b) This chapter applies to all nursing homes licensed pursuant to the Health Care Facilities Planning Act, N.J.S.A. 26:2H-1 et seq., as defined at N.J.S.A. 26:2H-29, including for-profit and nonprofit organizations, and regardless of payer or insurance status.
