N.J. Admin. Code § 8:85-3.6

Section 8:85-3.6 - Inflation

(a) For the purpose of calculating the limit and price as set forth in 8:85-3.9 and for adjusting the operating and administrative price between rebasing years as set forth in 8:85-3.8(c)2, the Department shall calculate an index factor using the most recent index factor publication.

(b) The Department shall calculate the index factor in (a) above by dividing the index associated with the quarter ending on the midpoint of the rate year for which the index is being established by the index associated with the quarter ending on the midpoint of the cost reporting period for purposes of setting the limit and price in 8:85-3.9 or the midpoint of the prior rate year for purposes of adjusting the operating and administrative price in 8:85-3.8(c)2.
