Section 8:59-11.6 - Labeling containers
(a) The provisions of N.J.A.C. 8:59-5, which regulate the labeling of containers and pipelines, shall apply to this subchapter.
(b) By March 31, 1990, every container at a private employer's facility shall bear a label indicating the chemical name and CAS number of all environmental hazardous substances in the container, and all other substances that are among the five most predominant substances in the container, or the trade secret registry number assigned to the substance. This is commonly referred to as "universal labeling." Common names specified in 8:59-5.7 may be substituted for the chemical name of the substance.
