Section 8:56-2.7 - Data accuracy and retention

(a) Each health care facility shall retain, for a period of three years, all NHSN worksheets, test results, and records that each administrator and/or authorized user uses to submit CDC HAI data to NHSN.

1. Each administrator and/or authorized user shall retain and preserve the medical records that they use to submit CDC HAI data to the NHSN , in accordance with N.J.S.A. 26:8-5.

(b) The Department may conduct audits of each health care facility's HAI data including on-site audits, if applicable.
