Section 8:43A-8.4 - Responsibilities of licensed nursing personnel

(a) Licensed nursing personnel shall provide nursing care to patients in accordance with the State of New Jersey Nursing Practice Act, 45:11-23 et seq., as interpreted by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing, and written job descriptions. Services provided shall be documented in the patient's medical record.

(b) The nursing care needs of the patient shall be assessed only by a registered professional nurse.
