Section 8:41-10.5 - Medical command physician(a) The qualifications necessary to serve as the medical command physician of a specialty care transport service shall be as follows: 1. Physician status or possession of a valid license as a physician by any state's board of medical examiners or equivalent physician licensing agency; or2. Status as a permit holder as defined at 8:43G-16.2(f) (a person authorized by any state's board of medical examiners, or equivalent physician licensing agency, to engage in the practice of medicine in the second year of a graduate medical education program or beyond).(b) The medical command physician shall provide medical command to ALS crewmembers in a timely fashion, without undue delay and with an understanding of the urgent need for medical direction with this classification of patient.
