Section 8:43G-32.10 - Same-day medical services standards; scope

(a) The standards set forth in 8:43G-32.11 through 32.20 apply only to hospitals that have a separate, designated unit or service for medical same-day stay.

(b) Same-day medical services are defined as elective treatments, diagnostic and non-surgical procedures as defined in the ICD-10-CM codes, with the patient being discharged in a routine status before midnight of the day of admission or treatment.
