Section 7:7-29.7 - Civil penalties
(a) Any person who violates the provisions of 13:19-1 et seq., 12:5-1 et seq., and/or 13:9A-1 et seq., any regulation, rule, permit, order, or court order issued pursuant thereto, or who fails to pay a civil administrative penalty in full pursuant to 7:7-29.3, or who knowingly makes any false or misleading statement on any application, record, report, or other document required to be submitted to the Department, shall be subject, upon order of a court, to a civil penalty of not more than $ 25,000 for each violation, and each day during which a violation continues shall constitute an additional, separate, and distinct offense.
(b) Any penalty established pursuant to this section may be imposed and collected with costs in a summary proceeding pursuant to the Penalty Enforcement Law of 1999, 2A:58-10 et seq. The Superior Court shall have jurisdiction to enforce the provisions of the Penalty Enforcement Law of 1999 in connection with 13:19-1 et seq., 12:5-1 et seq., and /or 13:9A-1 et seq.
