Section 7:10-12.25 - Surface water sources

(a) Surface water shall not be used as a water source for a nonpublic water system.

(b) The Department shall approve the use of surface water for a public noncommunity water system only if use of a well water supply is impracticable and if the surface water is treated pursuant to 7:10-12.33

(c) Public noncommunity water systems using surface water sources shall be constructed in accordance with 7:10-11.8 and shall meet the water treatment requirements of 7:10-12.33.
