Section 6A:27-12.3 - Students left on a school bus(a) Every owner/operator of a school vehicle shall immediately inform the administrator or principal of the receiving school and the chief school administrator of the district board of education providing the transportation, or their designees, following an incident in which it has been determined that a student was left on the school bus at the end of the route. School district or school bus contractor personnel who discover, or to whom it is reported, that a student has been left on a school bus shall immediately report the incident to the owner/ operator of the vehicle.(b) The chief school administrator, or his or her designee, shall complete the Student Left Unattended On the Bus report prescribed by the Commissioner and submit it to the executive county superintendent within 10 days of the incident. 1.
