Section 5:73-5.4A - Procedure for applying for instructor certification from other jurisdictions
(a) The Division shall issue Instructor Level 1 certifications to those who can provide the following:
1. Documentation of two years of actual instructional experience;
2. Proof of completion of the Instructional Techniques course as required at 5:73-5.2(c) or equivalent as described at 5:73-5.2(c) 3;
3. Proof of completion of the eight-hour General Safety Course described at 5:73-5.2(d) or proof of completion of a similar course as determined by the Division; and
4. Proof that they have passed the written examination described at 5:73-5.2(e).
(b) The Division shall issue Instructor Level 2 certifications to those who can provide the following:
1. Documentation of two years of actual instructional experience;
2. Proof of completion of an Educational Methodology course as required at 5:73-5.3(b)3 or equivalent as described at 5:73-5.3(c)4;
3. Proof of completion of the eight-hour General Safety Course described at 5:73-5.2(d) or proof of completion of a similar course as determined by the Division; and
4. Proof that they have passed the written examination as described at 5:73-5.3(d).
