Section 5:14A-9.19 - Rider restraint, restrictions, containment

(a) Restraining, containing, or cushioning devices shall be maintained in compliance with the manufacturer's specifications and Chapter 6 of ASTM F 2291, as amended in 5:14A-7.2.

1. The design requirements of Chapter 6 of ASTM F 2291, as amended in 5:14A-7.2 shall not apply to devices in place as of December 16, 2002. Replacement devices shall comply with Chapter 6 of ASTM F 2291, as amended in 5:14A-7.2 to the greatest extent possible.
