Section 3A:4-2.2 - Composition and terms(a) CCAPTA, as stated in N.J.S.A. 9:6-8.89, designates the members of the Board as follows: 1. The Board shall consist of the following members, who shall serve ex officio: i. The Commissioner of Children and Families, or designee;ii. The Commissioner of Health, or designee;iii. The Director of the Division of Child Protection and Permanency, or designee;iv. The Attorney General, or designee;v. The Superintendent of the State Police, or designee;vi. The State Medical Examiner; andvii. The Chairperson or Executive Director of the New Jersey Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect; and2. There also shall be six public members appointed by the Governor, including:i. A representative of the New Jersey Prosecutors' Association;iii. A pediatrician with expertise in child abuse and neglect;iv. A psychologist with expertise in child abuse and neglect;v. A social work educator with experience and expertise in the area of child abuse or a related field; andvi. A person with expertise in substance abuse.(b) Of the public members first appointed, three shall serve for a period of two years and three shall serve for a period of three years; thereafter, public members shall serve for a period of three years.(c) The Governor shall appoint a public member to serve as chairperson of the Board.N.J.
