Section 3:1-12.3 - Type of accounts

Nothing in the Act or in this subchapter is to be construed as requiring a financial institution to enter into any deposit account contract. Financial institutions are not required to open any multiple party deposit account that fails to provide for rights of survivorship as provided in 17:16I-5.
