The rules in this chapter are promulgated by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority to implement those sections at P.L. 1997, c. 235 (N.J.S.A. 58:10A-37.1 et seq.), as amended, which pertain to the Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Remediation, Upgrade and Closure Fund. The act established the Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Remediation, Upgrade and Closure Fund, a special revolving fund for the purpose of financing remediation due to the discharge of petroleum from a petroleum underground storage tank or for the costs of upgrade and closure of a regulated tank.
