Section 18:19-2.10 - Conversion tables

(a) The following formula is designed to assist the purchaser of motor fuels in converting liters to approximately equivalent gallons or determine tank capacity in liters:

3.785 liters = 1 gallon

1 liter = 0.2642 gallon

If greater precision is needed

3.785412 liters = 1 gallon

1 liter = 0.264172 gallon
