Section 17:28-7.1 - Costs of operating payroll deduction system

(a) The operation of the payroll deduction system for State employees will be provided by State government as a service to its employees in the same manner that other authorized deductions are provided.

(b) The operation of the payroll deduction system for employees of boards, commissions, and authorities will be provided by each board, commission or authority as a service to its employees in the same manner that other authorized deductions are provided.

(c) The appropriate disbursing officer for each local unit of government shall establish a payroll deduction system for the collection and distribution of voluntary charitable contributions by employees of the local unit of government.
