Effective July 1, 2008, P.L. 2007, c. 103 established the SEHBP as a separate health program from State Health Benefits Program (SHBP). The State Health Benefits Commission (SHBC) is responsible for administering the SHBP by promulgating rules, contracting for services and benefits and providing a review process for members disputing eligibility or claims. 52:14-17.4 6.3 created a separate School Employees' Health Benefits Commission (SEHBC) designed as the agency responsible for the administration of the SEHBP.
