Section 16:54-3.6 - Approvals
(a) Pursuant to 6:1-29et seq., the Commissioner of the Department of Transportation has the authority to determine the establishment, location, maintenance, operation, size, design, repair, management, and use of airports, landing strips, heliports and helistops, sport parachuting centers, and other aeronautical facilities.
(b) The Bureau will approve or deny an application within 90 days of receipt of the completed application.
(c) If the application is approved, the applicant shall receive a license, Form DA-L-1, Aeronautical Facility License, for the facility upon completion of construction, final inspection, and approval by the Bureau.
(d) If the application is denied, the applicant may request an informal hearing with the Director in accordance with NJ.A.C. 16:54-14.1.
