N.J. Admin. Code § 16:53-6.29

Each small autobus shall be equipped with a partition of metal, or with a partition of safety glass or rigid plastic that conforms to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 205 (49 CFR § 571.205), incorporated herein by reference, as amended and supplemented. The partition shall be located to the rear of the driver's seat. A partition of safety glass or rigid plastic shall be tinted or covered by a curtain, if necessary, to shield the driver from the glare of inside lights. The minimum dimensions of drivers' partitions shall be 18 inches wide and shall extend upward from at least two inches below the top of the driver's seatback to not less than 18 inches from the ceiling.
