Section 16:53-3.42 - Lavatory

(a) An autobus that is equipped with a lavatory shall have:

1. An audible or visible signal to alert the driver of an emergency, which shall be clearly marked "EMERGENCY SIGNAL";

2. Adequate lighting; and

3. A door lock that normally operates only from the inside, with key provision for emergency access from the outside of the lavatory.
