Section 16:41C-7.2 - Permit fees(a) Within 30 days of the issuance of a notice of approval of an application for a new off-premise advertising permit, the applicant shall pay an annual permit fee to the Department. If the annual permit fee is not received within the 30-day period, the notice of approval shall be voided. The Department may extend the 30-day period for good cause.(b) The annual permit fee for each sign requiring a permit will be based upon the size of the approved advertising surface area as follows: Advertising Surface Area In Square Feet

(c) The fee to renew a permit is the same as the annual permit fee.(d) Permits issued for directional signs, and service club or religious signs meeting the requirements contained in N.J.A.C. 16:41C-8 for those types of signs shall not require an annual fee and shall be considered no-fee permits. 1.
