Section 14:7-1.6 - Quality control of field welding(a) In addition to all applicable Federal Code requirements, each operator shall ensure oversight of field welding on a natural gas pipeline with a maximum operating pressure in excess of 250 psig by welding inspectors that are determined qualified by the operator on the basis of training and experience, as necessary to ensure that all operator procedures are followed.(b) Each operator shall ensure that, during any welding of a natural gas pipeline with a maximum operating pressure in excess of 250 psig, a copy of the welding procedures that apply to the work being performed are readily available at the job site.N.J.
