Section 14:6-3.4 - Pressure requirements(a) Each gas utility shall ensure that the pressure of the gas measured at the outlet of the meter of any customer, sometimes known as normal utilization pressure, shall be maintained to that point required to provide safe and efficient utilization of the gas in any properly adjusted appliance that is supplied with gas through adequately sized facilities.(b) The pressure variations within any 24 hour period shall not exceed 50 percent above or 50 percent below the normal utilization pressures set by each local distribution company.N.J. In (a), substituted "Each gas utility shall ensure that the" for "The", inserted "that is" and "with gas", and deleted "customer's" preceding "facilities"; and in (b), deleted "allowable" preceding "pressure", substituted "percent" for "per cent" two times, and "set up by each local distribution company" for ", except for special arrangements made with industrial and commercial customers".
