The municipal governing body shall, upon receipt of the first application, decide upon a date on which a hearing will be held concerning the first application and any other applications filed in accordance with 48:5A-23. Such date shall be not earlier than 60 days from the date of the first application, nor later than 90 days from the date the first application is filed. A municipality may choose to hold its hearing as a separate proceeding or as part of its normal schedule of meetings.
