Section 13:95-20.24 - Verification of illness or death of a relative

(a) The burden is on the juvenile to prove that the ill or deceased person is a relative as defined in 13:95-1.3 and this subchapter (see 13:95-20.4) .

(b) The Superintendent or designee shall verify the illness or death of the relative.
