Section 13:20-39.5 - Certification of membership(a) Upon seeking approval to have special motor vehicle registration plates prepared for its members who wish to apply for same pursuant to this subchapter, an organization shall submit to the Motor Vehicle Commission a list of the legal names, addresses and current New Jersey registration plate numbers of its 500 or more members in good standing or, in the case of a service organization, of its 175 or more members in good standing, in alphabetical order by surname, who will be requesting the special motor vehicle registration plates if the Motor Vehicle Commission approves the issuance of such plates.(b) The certification of membership required pursuant to this section shall be provided at the organization's expense, shall be compiled and submitted on the organization's official letterhead, and shall be signed by the organization liaison.(c) Certifications of membership submitted to the Motor Vehicle Commission pursuant to this section are not public records and are not accessible for public examination pursuant to the "Open Public Records Act" (N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq.).N.J.
