Section 10A:22-2.8 - Medical discharge summary

(a) Pursuant to 30:1B-6.2, a medical discharge summary shall be provided to each inmate at least 10 days prior to release from a State correctional facility.

(b) The medical discharge summary shall include instructions on how to obtain a copy of the inmate's full medical record.

(c) Pursuant to 30:1B-6.2 and in accordance with 13:35-6.5, the inmate may request a copy of his or her full medical record. The copy of the inmate's full medical record shall be provided in a safe and secure manner at no charge to the inmate.
