Section 10:37A-9.2 - Development of residential complaint procedures

All PAs shall establish internal complaint procedures, which will be subject to DOH review and approval at the time of the initial licensing and triennial licensing reviews. Complaint procedures shall allow for a consumer of the PA, or his or her designee, to make known a grievance regarding services provided or which failed to be provided; to seek appropriate redress related thereto; and to have corrective action taken as might be warranted. The policy and procedure for consumer complaints shall be posted in a public place at the PA office site and a copy given to each consumer upon beginning the program. Any implementation of the complaint procedure shall be documented in the consumer's clinical record.
