Section 10:161B-11.5 - Minimum standards for admission to an opioid treatment program(a) Opioid treatment programs shall give preference for admission to pregnant women, intravenous (IV) drug users, and individuals who are HIV-positive.(b) All persons admitted to an opioid treatment program shall meet the admission criteria outlined in the Federal standards set by accrediting agencies contained in 42 CFR Part 8.12. Program criteria for admission shall be based on the definition of opioid dependence in DSM-5. The client record shall document a DSM-5 diagnosis by a qualified clinician and/or a determination that opioid maintenance therapy on an outpatient basis is appropriate according to ASAM Criteria.N.J.
