Section Soil 302.04 - Wetland Scientist Experience Requirements Experience in the practice of wetland science shall be determined as follows:
(a) A minimum one year of the experience requirement shall be actual field delineation of wetland boundaries pursuant to RSA 310-A:84, II-b (a); or(b) A minimum of 3 years of the experience requirement shall be actual field delineation of wetland boundaries and the preparation of wetland maps, the classification of wetlands, the preparation of wetland function and value assessments, the design of wetland mitigation, the implementation of wetland mitigation, the monitoring of wetlands functions and values, and preparation of associated reports. Each advanced degree in a related field shall count as one year of experience, pursuant to RSA 310-A:84, II-b (b); and(c) The applicant's presentation of 6 or more wetland delineation maps with all wetlands classified according to Classification of Wetlands and Deepwater Habitats of the United States, FGDC-STD-004-2023, second edition as follows; (1) At least one of the delineation maps shall include a complete assessment of functions and values using either the method for the "Method for Inventorying and Evaluating Freshwater Wetlands in NH - Comparative Evaluation of Nontidal Wetlands in New Hampshire", published December 2015 or "US Army Corps of Engineers, Highway Methodology Workbook Supplement", published September 2009, for candidates pursuant to RSA 310-A:84, II-a (a) available as indicated in Appendix B; and(2) At least four of the delineation maps shall utilize the standards of the "Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual, Technical Report 4-87-1", (January 1987), "Interim Regional Supplement to the Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual: Northcentral and Northeast Region, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers", published October 2009, available as indicated in Appendix B and the remainder shall meet the requirements of a state or federal regulatory agency.N.H.
