Section Saf-C 3110.01 - Driver Education Program Eligibility
(a) All students shall be eligible for driver education provided that:
(1) They are at least 15 years and 9 months of age, on or before the first regularly scheduled classroom session of the course in which they are enrolled; or
(2) Their sixteenth birthday occurs on or before the last regularly scheduled classroom session of the course in which they are enrolled.
(b) Instructors shall not meet the requirements of (a) by scheduling special sessions on or after a student's birthday or withholding the completion certificate until the student's birthday.
(c) Students shall present proof of age in the form of an official birth certificate or valid passport.
(d) Any student whose privilege to operate a motor vehicle is suspended or revoked shall not be permitted to enroll in a course until his or her privilege is restored.
(e) Any student whose privilege to operate a motor vehicle is suspended or revoked while enrolled in a course shall not be permitted to continue the course. The student shall retake the entire course when his/her privilege is restored.
(f) All students shall successfully pass a vision test. For the purposes of this rule, "successfully pass" means the student has a vision designation of 20/40 with both eyes and if legally blind in one eye, a vision designation of 20/30 in the other eye.
