Section Saf-C 3107.02 - Duties of Instructor(a) A driver education instructor shall: (1) Protect students from physical harm by working to maintain a safe and healthy environment free of violence, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, sexual harassment, or other illegal influence;(2) Provide an environment of mutual respect at all times;(3) Recognize the constitutional rights and responsibilities of students and provide services without discrimination;(4) Refrain from using his/her professional position to take personal advantage of students or their parents or guardians;(5) Respond to calls or inquiries from parents or guardians of students within a reasonable period of time;(6) Abstain from using obscene, vulgar, or offensive language or gestures when conducting any portion of a driver education program;(7) Abstain from eating, except where medically necessary, or smoking when conducting any portion of a driver education program; and(8) Abstain from using a cellular phone when conducting any portion of a driver education program, except in the event of an emergency.(b) The requirements of (a)(7) above shall not apply to instructors during breaks.N.H.
