The purpose of Ret 308 is to establish a procedure for an eligible employee, who, due to employer oversight, was not timely enrolled in NHRS, to petition the board of trustees for authorization to pay the cost of, and thereafter receive credit for, such prior service. A further purpose is to establish a procedure for a member to demonstrate to the board of trustees a financial inability to pay the prior service credit cost.
