The division of travel and tourism development shall be responsible for all matters relative to attracting tourists, visitors and other interested parties to the state. The director of the division of travel and tourism development shall be responsible for researching and analyzing the effectiveness of promotional and assistance programs administered by the division. It shall also be the director's responsibility to carry out plans and programs consistent with the New Hampshire tourism policy to promote the state and to attract tourists and other interested persons to New Hampshire.
