Section Pari 809.02 - General Care of Greyhounds on the Racing Premises(a) The licensee shall conduct kennel compound inspections daily to ensure the safety and sanitary conditions of the kennel compound.(b) Containers for the collection of greyhound urine and feces shall: (1) Have lids in place except while in use; and(2) Be stored in an area removed from kennel housing and exercise areas.(c) Greyhounds on the racing premises shall: (1) Be inspected daily for sores, cuts, abrasions, muzzle burns, fleas, ticks and muscle soreness; and(2) Be reasonably free of fleas and ticks.(d) Greyhounds on the racing premises shall be fed sufficiently to maintain their racing weights.(e) Clean fresh water shall be provided at all times in exercise areas.(f) All food and water dishes shall be maintained in a clean condition.(g) Sick, diseased and injured greyhounds shall be provided with veterinary care.(h) Muzzles used shall: (1) Be lightweight and constructed of plastic or padded wire; and(2) Shall not be worn, broken or rusted.(i) Greyhounds shall be vaccinated annually against parvo, rabies, distemper, hepatitis, adenovirus type 2, parainfluenza and leptospira.(j) Licenses shall: (1) When the greyhounds are entered, show the commission veterinarian the greyhounds' vaccination records; and(2) Submit the vaccination records to the racing secretary.N.H.
